Kevin McHale’s Daughter Sasha Died at Age 23

Longtime Timberwolves executive and former head coach Kevin McHale’s 23-year old daughter Sasha died this weekend.  The announcement from the Houston Rockets on Sunday.  McHale had been on leave from the team since November 10.  Alexandria “Sasha” had reportedly been fighting through lupus, a auto immune deficiency.

Kelvin Sampson has been the interim head coach for the Rockets with McHale away from the team.  No timetable has been indicated for McHale’s return.  McHale is a Hibbing, Minnesota native who played college basketball at the University of Minnesota and played in the NBA for the Boston Celtics.
