Lady Antebellum made a theatrical entrance to the stage at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Sunday night. Moments after winning their third straight award for Vocal Group of the Year, the trio emerged from the smoke to sing ‘Dancing Away With My Heart.’

Like many of the previous performers on the CBS telecast, Lady Antebellum played it safe. Although it’s doubtful this song requires anything but the group’s magic harmonies to captivate an audience. Charles Kelley, Hillary Scott and Dave Haywood each took a microphone on a stage that was largely empty. The backing band was barely visible in the corners of the screen, and clips of couples dancing shimmied across a silver screen backdrop.

‘Dancing Away With My Heart’ is Lady Antebellum’s third Top 5 single from the ‘Own the Night’ album, on it’s way to becoming their third straight No. 1 single. In addition to being one of the most reliable vocal groups around, the trio is always on the edge of country fashion. Scott looked mysterious but gorgeous in a flowing dark gown, while Kelley was hip in skinny jeans. Their win earlier tonight makes eight ACM trophies for Lady A.
