Lady Antebellum will honored in a big way when the worlds of music and politics collide. Next month’s 2014 Grammys on the Hill Awards will find the group with a prestigious award in hand.

The awards — held April 2 at the Hamilton Live in Washington, D.C. — are considered ”Washington’s most interesting mix of music and politics.” The country trio will be given the Recording Artists’ Coalition Award, named for a program founded by Don Henley and Sheryl Crow.

“We are proud to honor Lady Antebellum for their artistry and inventiveness in the country arena as well as their philanthropic efforts to make a difference for disadvantaged children here and abroad,” Recording Academy President/CEO Neil Portnow says in a release.

Seven-time Grammy winners Lady A will be honored alongside House of Representatives Majority Whip Kevin McCarthy and House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi. Those two will be honored for recognizing the role music plays in American life.

Clearly, the evening is truly one of a kind. The awards presentation is accompanied by a cocktail reception and dinner for the attendees, which will include members of the entertainment business and recording industry. Sponsored by SESAC, proceeds from the evening go to a special cause, the Grammy Foundation’s Grammy Signature Schools, which helps support school systems with underserved music departments.
