When 19 year old Marine, Myles Kerr was on leave in Michigan last weekend, he decided to run a 5k race in his boots, fatigues and backpack.

While he was running, he noticed a young boy running by himself. 9 year old Boden had gotten separated from his group along the way, so he asked Myles if they could run together.

Up ahead, Myles had friends who had finished the race and wondered what happened to him. Pretty soon they saw him, with Boden running right next to him. And it gets even better.

During the race, Boden got tired and wanted to stop. Myles motivated him to keep going, and they eventually finished together. In fact, Myles let Boden finish the race 5 seconds ahead of him. Then he stuck around to make sure Boden found his friends.

Big kudos to Myles. We need more people like him in this world!
