On my vacation last year, the most amazing site in all of Italy, was the statue of David. When I walked into the room and saw the statue, it took my breath away. They are so careful with David, you aren't even allowed to take pictures. The one you see here, is an exact replica built outside. So, I was bummed to hear that David has weak ankles!

You would have weak ankles too if you weighed 5.5 tons and had been leaning on one foot all these years!  And surgery isn't working. So what to do?

Some are suggesting moving the statue away from Florence, where they've had over 100 minor earthquakes. Or at least to an earthquake-proof room. Either way, they must find a way to save David's ankles. And the rest of him. If you get to Italy, David is a must see. Weak ankles and all.
