Miranda Lambert Makes Beautiful People List

It has seriously been a good year for Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton. The two have not only netted more awards than they can likely count but they were also both recognized just for being strikingly good-looking by People magazine. After Shelton was crowned Country Music’s Hottest Guy by People Country, his stunning wife just landed in People’s most beautiful women of 2012 issue.

Lambert is the only country starlet to make the list this year, joining the likes of Beyoncé (who topped the list as this year’s most beautiful woman); Sofia Vergara from ‘Modern Family’; Charlize Theron; Phil Collins’ daughter Lily Collins; Madeleine Stowe; Christina Hendricks; Michelle Williams; Paula Patton and Kate Middleton.

In an article in Health magazine last year, Lambert talked about how being beautiful is not about pursuing the kind of look that celebrities commonly chase, and her stance has obviously paid off.

“All these stars are so tiny, and they spend their lives trying to be skinny. I’m representing normal girls. It’s OK to have a little bit of curve. I’m happy with my body,” she says (quote via CMT). “So many girls come up to me and say, ‘Thank you for being normal,’ and I’m proud of that.”

Shelton has a similar attitude about appearance. In fact, when he learned of his new status as country music’s hottest man, Shelton almost laughed it off in surprise, saying, ”I think it’s funny because there is nothing about me, if I was a girl, that I would think is sexy.”

With both Lambert and Shelton always comfortable in their own skin, we’re glad to see them getting such deserved recognition.
