Jim Maurice

Another group of National Guard soldiers are coming home to Central Minnesota.

More than 250 soldiers from the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 34th Infantry Division are scheduled to return to Minnesota tomorrow (Friday).  It’s the fifth wave of soldiers to come back to the state in the past few weeks.

They’ll be arriving at the River’s Edge Convention Center at 4:50 p.m. The general public is invited and encouraged to come out and welcome them home.

Soldiers will also be dropped-off in Brainerd, Anoka, St. Paul and Bloomington.

They’ve been serving in Iraq for the past year during Operation New Dawn.
