My Parents Used to Have to Bribe Me to Do My Assigned Chores

Ask my mom, she'll tell you it literally would take an act of congress to get me to clean.

When I was a kid ( well I guess it's the same now) I despised cleaning.  I would do anything and everything to get out of it.  I can't tell you how many I times I'd fake being sick just to get out of cleaning.  Sometimes my mom would just do it but other times there were some perks to my procrastination.

My mom discovered that bribing me would get me to clean or do other chores, so she'd make a list of thing I had to do.  If I completed the list, then I got something - a toy or a Happy Meal.  This worked really well when I was a kid and an only child.  Then siblings started coming along and I was the oldest so these things became expected of me.

Interestingly enough, my parents seem to fit in with the majority of other parents based on the results of a recent survey.  I kinda want to be a little kid again, getting bribed was awesome!  What did your parents have to bribe you to do?
