I invite you to join me and your fellow Americans this afternoon at 3:00 local time for a National Moment of Remembrance, "as a simple and unifying way to commemorate our history and honor the struggle to protect our freedoms.” Those words were spoken by President Clinton in 2000, when he signed the National Remembrance Act.

As we enjoy our family, friends, barbecues, and freedoms today -- lets take a moment to remember those who fell in battle in defense of our liberty and way of life.
