New GAC Series, ‘Day Jobs’, Shows What Stars Did Before Hitting It Big [VIDEO]

Every one of our country artists have a back story. What did they do before they hit it big? What job paid their bills before they were able to make a living selling albums? Now GAC (Great American Country) is taking our stars back to those original jobs and having the stars put in an 8 hour day alongside the people that are currently doing them.

Before Trace Adkins was singing You’re Gonna Miss This, he was a roughneck on an off shore oil rig. Before Neal McCoy became the incredible entertainer he is, he sold women’s shoes. Before Eddie Montgomery teamed up with Troy Gentry as Montgomery Gentry he slaved away in a butcher shop; Troy was a bartender. And way back before Craig Morgan sang about the Redneck Yacht Club he was in the Army.

These artists and many more are set up for the first season of Day Jobs on GAC TV. The series takes each artist out to the job they held before hitting it big. They have each of the artists work an 8 hour day right along side the people that hold those jobs today showing they are real people and know what it means to put in a 40 hour week just like the rest of us.

That’s the best part of country music. It’s songs that relates to all of us and this show brings it full circle. Day Jobs premieres on Sunday, October 2 at 7pm ET on GAC, but you can get a sneak peek at the show Wednesday, September 14 at 7pm.
