Oxford English Dictionary’s Word Of The Year Is…..
Selfie. That's the word of the year according to the Oxford English Dictionary. And that's what this picture is. Here's the definition.
Selfie: A photograph that one has taken of oneself, typically with a smartphone or webcam and uploaded to a social media website.
A few words that were runners-up for word of the year:
Binge-watch: Watching multiple episodes of a TV program in rapid succession. Usually by means of DVD. I've done this. I just didn't know it had a name other than lazy.
Showrooming: Visiting a shop in order to examine a product before buying it online at a lower price. I haven't done this. Mostly because I didn't think of it first.
Twerk: See Miley Cyrus.
