Twins starter Mike Pelfrey was roughed up and the Oakland A’s completed a sweep of Minnesota at Target Field with a 6-1 win Thursday.

Pelfrey allowed six runs on nine hits over five innings of work, needed 104 pitches (only 58 of them strikes) to pitch into the sixth inning. The right-hander also walked four batters in the game.

Brian Dozier’s solo home run of A’s starter (and former River Bat) Dan Straily in the first inning would be the only run the Twins could muster.

Minnesota hosts Kansas City for a three game series beginning Friday night at Target Field.
