Meet Logan.

Logan is a 2 ½ year old neutered Beagle mix.

He came to the shelter because the neighbors didn't appreciate the type of serenading beagles are known for.

Logan was around all ages of children and he did fantastic with them. He also did fine around other dogs.

Logan is house trained and would go to the door when he needed to go outside. At night and when he was home alone he was crated.

Logan is used to being an indoor dog but sure enjoyed his outside play time.

His favorite game was to play fetch with sticks.

Meet Ruby.

Ruby is a 6 month old domestic rat. She came to the shelter because her owner didn’t have enough time to take care of her properly.

Ruby likes to nibble on carrots and wood chew sticks.

Pet rats are much less fearful than their wild cousins, and when handled gently, they quickly learn to enjoy riding on their human friends’ shoulders and napping in their laps.

Curious, intelligent and always up for some fun, rats can be great pets for kids—but young caretakers should always be supervised by an adult.

These animals not toys, and must be treated with kindness and respect.
