Meet Timber and Peaches. Two adorable pets at the Tri-County Humane Society.

If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound? The answer is no if we are talking about this neutered, one year old Shepherd Mix named Timber! Timber rarely barks but makes up for his silence with lots of energy and playful enthusiasm. In his previous home, Timber enjoyed being around cats and did well with other dogs and children. He would appreciate an indoor home with plenty of access to a fetch-friendly yard. Timber will need some coaching regarding his desire to jump up and get close to you. With cotton-soft fur, a quiet demeanor and an athletic heart, Timber is hard not to fall for.

Sweet Georgia peaches are almost as sweet as our cat named Peaches residing at the shelter and waiting to be adopted. She’s 2 years old and is spayed. Peaches came to the shelter with her kittens back in July due to health issues of her owner. Her kittens have been adopted and now it’s Peaches’ turn. In her previous home, she got along well with all ages of children. She is not a fan of other animals, so a home where she can be the only pet would be ideal. Peaches has a very soft coat that feels like bunny fur. Scratch her a few times under the chin and she’ll follow your hand around hoping to get some more. Peaches is a candidate for the ‘name-your-own-price’ cat sale.
