Viking running back Adrian Peterson is still not practicing with a high ankle sprain to his left ankle and failed to practice for a 2nd straight day on Thursday.  Peterson says the soreness in his ankle is “winding down” and he is just “taking it slow right now”.  Peterson still expects to play Sunday against Denver despite not being cleared to practice yet.

If Peterson cannot play again this week Toby Gerhart would get the bulk of the carries at the tailback position.  The Vikings host Denver at noon on Sunday, pregame on WJON at 11am.
