Pia Gets Record Deal

Everyone was mad when Pia Toscano was kicked off Idol, but in the long run she will be better off. 

It seems if you win Idol you are owned by the Idol staff and they don't seem to help your career.  However, all the second place winners tend to do pretty well.  You are free to sign with any label you want and that is what Pia just did.

Starting [Thursday] night after the show, Interscope told her they wanted her and first thing [Friday] morning Interscope brass started calling every top songwriter and producer in town to get an album together and rush release it,” a source familiar with the contract told US Weekly.
