Montgomery County Texas prosecutors have asked for the re-arrest of Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson, and have also asked for his $15,000 bond to be revoked, following his admission to a technician that he "smoked a little weed" before a drug test after yesterday's hearing.

Refraining from the use of illegal drugs is commonly part of the terms of bond agreements. Peterson made the comments during a court ordered urinalysis.

Adrian Peterson was in Texas yesterday for a pretrial hearing relating to felony child abuse charges. He did not enter a plea during yesterday's hearing, and the trial date was tentatively set for December 1st.

If convicted of the child abuse charges, Peterson could face up to two years in prison. If he is re-arrested and his bond is revoked, we will likely be jailed in Texas until his trial date. He remains suspended by the Vikings indefinitely.

The Minnesota Vikings host the Detroit Lions this Sunday at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis.
