Ready For The New Year’s Resolution?

We are just about a week away from 2011 and I’m sure you have started to think about your New Year’s resolution. Many of us have made the same resolution for years – lose weight in the New Year! Sounds great in your mind. Then as you get into your second week the chocolate starts calling your name and the fried foods and you end up spiraling back into your old ways and you retain the weight you have and possibly gain more. I’ve been there, I know how it feels.

I started the Rejuv Medical Weight Loss and Fitness plan on December 6 and let me tell you, I am truly enjoying it. I have lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks and feel much better! I have more energy, I don’t feel tired at the end of the day like I used to and I’m sleeping better every night. This has been a life changing experience so far.

I know what you are thinking, Dave, you are on the radio, of course you are going to say good things about the program. Well, let me tell you – I don’t endorse a product unless I truly believe in it. I’m not the type of person that talks about any business that comes along just because I can. I researched Rejuv Medical before agreeing to participate in their program at www.rejuvmedical.com. I talked with J.R. and let him explain why the program works.

J.R. did a metabolic test on me. It measures your metabolic rate to determine how many calories your body NEEDS each day to be healthy AND lose weight at the same time. It wasn’t a cookie cutter deal – it is specially tailored to each person.

Next, J.R. took me on a shopping trip at the grocery store. He took me around the store and showed me which foods were good, which were bad and pulled random items off the shelf and showed me what ingredients were not good to put into your body. These are things I had never even thought about – after that trip I realized how much junk I was putting into my system each day.

I love food – I always have and the great thing about the Rejuv program is I eat ALL DAY! Seriously, I eat every 3 hours and never feel hungry. The difference is I’m eating healthy food – not potato chips from the vending machine because they are easy. I prepare meals from scratch, I pack my lunch and I keep track of what I’m eating each day. If you aren’t one to cook, Rejuv offers cooking classes and shows you how to prepare some of your favorite BAD dishes in a healthy way! I have had everything from pizza to buffalo chicken wraps to steak!

Is it easy all the time? NO! Yesterday they brought in Bar-B-Q for lunch. I’m from Alabama and grew up on great pulled pork. It was so hard for me to not dive into that pan of pork head first – but I knew it would set me back – I went with my pork tenderloin and veggie leftovers instead.

As far as workouts go, I go to the Rejuv Medical Fitness Center on 3rd Street in Waite Park twice a week and work out with Tim. He realizes that I have worked out – well really never in my life. He has not asked me once to do something that will injure me or discourage me. We have done everything from lifting weights to yoga to the rowing machine to just walking on the treadmill – and I’m sure he will introduce more as we go along.

Is this plan for everyone? No. If you aren’t willing to put in the effort, no plan will ever work for you. If you are ready to change the way you think about food and eating, if you are ready to lose weight and learn how to keep it off or if you are ready to feel better, sleep better and look better then this plan WILL work for you!
