According to multiple sources, Rox pitchers Kasey Ralston and Dalton Sawyer were involved in a car accident Sunday afternoon near Waconia and are in the hospital.

Alexandria Blue Anchors and Minnesota Baseball Academy owner Adam Barta tweeted late last night that Sawyer and Ralston were hospitalized. Ralston is in critical condition, but is listed as "stable." Both are expected to recover from their injuries.

According to Barta, Ralston suffered multiple internal injuries while Sawyer was concussed and suffered a punctured lung. Rox teammates on Twitter confirmed the reports.

Update (8:30 am) Rox VP Scott Schreiner said in a text message Sawyer has a bad concussion and Ralston has several injuries. Schreiner says the two were on their way to visit Sawyer's family in Waconia.

Update (9:05 am) The Minnesota State Patrol incident report , a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am driven by Sawyer was broadsided by a pickup truck driven by a 44 year-old Lester Prairie man while attempting to cross Highway 7 southbound at County Road 33 at 1:42 pm Sunday in Carver County.

The driver of the pickup was not injured, while Sawyer is listed with "non life-threatening injuries," and Ralston with "serious injuries."
