I have to say this is the one album that I could not wait to get my hands on this year.  I saw Eric in concert a few years ago and it was one of the best shows I have ever been to.  He is so high energy and when I heard I could have an Eric Church concert on CD, it was an opportunity I couldn't pass up.

I will just come right out and say it--this album surpassed my expectations.  Listening to each track, you can feel all the heart and soul that is put into one of his live shows and the audience is right there to party with him.  Short of having him standing in front of you with a guitar, it is like being at his concert.

My only disappointment comes from the fact that he is missing just a few key songs.  Absent from the album are hits such as 'Love Your Love the Most' and 'Hell on the Heart.'  He compensates with other upbeat tunes from 'Sinners Like Me' and 'Chief' but nonetheless I love those songs and their presence is missed.

Hands down my favorite song on the album is 'Springsteen.'  It's one of my all time favorites any way, but he really put himself out there and shared a story with the fans before launching into part of Bruce Springsteen's 'Born to Run' just as he did on last years CMA Awards.

Overall, I think this is a great album.  I have been listening to it in my car for the last several days and each time I pick up on something new.  If you want to be at a high energy Eric Church show without leaving the comfort of your own home, this is the album for you.
