Sartell Ranked In First AP Football Poll

The Sartell Sabres are ranked eighth in the state in the first Associated Press football poll of the 2014 season.

The Sabres cracked the top ten in Class 5A after topping Tech 33-19 in their season opener last week. Tech received two votes in the poll, while Owatonna was ranked first and Brainerd was voted as the second-best team.

Cathedral received nine votes in the Class 3A poll to land just outside of the top ten.
