SCSU’s Schlagel to Retire Following 2013-2014 Season

St. Cloud State men’s basketball head coach Kevin Schlagel will retire following the 2013-2014 season at SCSU.  The announcement was made by St. Cloud State Monday afternoon.  Schlagel has been associated with SCSU men’s basketball for 40 years including as a player, assistant coach and head coach.

Schlagel has been the head coach of the Huskies since 1997.  Schlagel led the Huskies to a school record 29 wins in 2009-2010 including a trip to the NCAA Division II Elite 8 Final Four.  Schlagel has a head coaching record of 301-141 at SCSU.
