Just in time for the MLB All Star Game, self serve beer machines are now operational at Target Field

It's hot. The score is tied. What you need is an ice cold beer. Waiting for the beer man to come around is the worst, but is it worse than standing in line at a busy concession stand missing the game you paid a fortune to get in to, including tickets, parking and gas? Argh.

Twins fans, meet your new robot overlords: Self serve beer machines!

The machines, called DraftServ allows fans to purchase and pour their own beer down to the ounce. The DraftServ allows fans to pour a maximum of 48 ounces of beer every 15 minutes. You have to buy a beer machine card first, and then you can use that to buy your beer. Bud and Bud Light are both .38 cents an ounce. Goose Island 312 Urban Pale Ale and Shock Top Lemon Shandy are both .40 cents an ounce.

Target Field is the first Major League park to have the DraftServ machine and yes, they will be manned by Target Field staff to prevent minors from having access to beer and to keep the drunks away.
