ST. PAUL - The #5 ranked St. Cloud State Huskies scored four goals in the second period and picked up a 6-4 win over Minnesota State Mankato in the consolidation game of the North Star College Cup.

Jonny Brodzinski started the scoring for the Huskies with an even strength goal in the first to make it a 1-1 tie. Minnesota State would take a 2-1 lead in the start of the second with a goal from Bryce Gervais.

The Huskies stormed back quickly, scoring four unanswered goals before the third period.

Cory Thorson led off the flurry of scoring to make it a 2-2 tie. Nic Dowd, Brodzinski and David Morley also scored to take a 5-2 advantage into the third.

Kalle Kossila would help seal the win with a power play goal in the third.

Ryan Faragher made 37 saves in the contest for the win. Brodzinski finished the game with two goals and one assist.

The Huskies are now 13-5-4 this year. They hit the road next weekend for a pair of games against Nebraska-Omaha.
