David Allen Coe is a native of Akron, OH.  He is known as one of the outlaws of country music.  As a singer his biggest hits were "The Ride," "You Never Even Called Me By My Name" and "Long Haired Red Neck."

Coe's number one hits "Would You Lay With Me In A Field Of Stone" and "Take This Job and Shove It"  were later recorded by Johnny Paycheck, which would became a movie. Coe and Paycheck had minor roles in the film.

Coe has lived a rough life, in and out of reform schools and prison, even spent time on death row.
