Sunday Morning Country Classic Spotlight

Billy Wayne Craddock, we know him as Bill Crash Craddock.  The nickname came from his exploits as a high school running back.  He became one of country music's most consistent hit makers of the  1970's.

Craddock gained popularity in Australia in the 1950's with a string of rockabilly hits.  His first number one country hit in the 1970's was "Knock Three Times" in 1971.  A pop hit for Tony Orlando and Dawn.  Other hits followed, "Dream Lover," You Better Move On," "Ain't Nothin' Shakin," and "Rub It In" his biggest hit.  Craddock consistently hit the country top ten in the 1970's.

He was a highly popular performer until the likes of  Ricky Skaggs, Randy Travis and George Strait hit the scene.  Born June 16, 1939 in Greensboro, North Carolina.  He has been active since 1957 till the present day.
