Alan Jackson, born October 17, 1958 in Newnan, Georgia. Before music he worked as a car salesman and did carpenter work. He got his break in the country music world when he signed on with Glen Campbell’s publishing company.

Jackson met his future wife , Denise, when he was seventeen. At age twenty he was married. That’s when he began sitting in with local country bands. Jackson was a big fan of George Jones, Merle Haggard and Hank Williams Jr.

In 1985 he moved to Nashville to pursue a real country music career. Jackson became the first artist to sign to the country division of Arista Records. His debut album was “Here in the Real World.” His first single, “Blue Blooded Woman” failed to make the top 40. His next single, “Here in the Real World” went to number three on the country chart. That’s when it all came together for Alan Jackson, the rest is all history.

In 1997 Ford Motor company entitled Jackson as a spokesman. In fact his first national television commercial for the Ford Motor company for which he adapted his “Mercury Blues” hit, which went to number two on the country chart in 1993 on Super Bowl Sunday in 1997.
