Join me at 11 a.m.on Sunday, February 23rd for the Sunday Morning Country Classic Spotlight featuring Bobby Goldsboro.  The Country Classic Show starts at 9 a.m.

Bobby was born on January 18, 1941 in Marianna, Florida.  He's been married to Dianne Goldsboro since 1985.  They have one child, a daughter.

Bobby Goldsboro successfully bridged the gap between pop and country music.  He first hit the Top Ten in 1964 with See The Funny Little Clown? Then he exploded to the top on both the pop and country charts in 1968 with Honey.

During a two year stint at Auburn University, he and his group, The Webbs, played at parties.  In 1962 they received an offer to go on the road with Roy Orbison, who later collaborated with Bobby on a number of songs.

Watching Scotty Grow, a wistful song about parenting became another pop-country crossover hit.  The singer/songwriter appeared often on network television shows and starred in his own syndicated TV show from 1973 to 1975.

Nowadays, the talented artist is focusing on his other life long passion of oil painting.  His music has always touched emotions and now his paintings are doing the same.
