Linda Ronstadt is a lady of many kinds of musical material, they include rock, soul, folk and country but her roots in folk music led her to country.

She was a pioneer in the country rock movement of the late 1960's and early 1970's. She quit college at eighteen and went to Los Angeles and formed the Stone Poney's.

In 1970 she played the Grand Ole Opry and appeared on the Johnny Cash television show.  Her remake of Hank Williams, "I Can't Help It If I'm Still in Love With You" went to number two on the country chart in 1975 and won a Grammy for best country vocal for a female. Ronstadt, collaborated with Emmy Lou Harris, Gram Parsons and Dolly Parton.

She was born Linda Marie Ronstadt July 15, 1946 in Tuscon, Arizona.  She's a singer, songwriter, musician, record producer and actress.
