The Timberwolves snapped their 4-game losing streak with a 102-90 win over Charlotte at home Wednesday night.  Kevin Love led the Wolves with 30 points and 18 rebounds, Nikola Pekovic added 21 points and 11 rebounds and Ricky Rubio chipped in 6 points and 7 assists for Minnesota.

The Gophers men’s basketball team lost 78-68 at home against #6 Ohio State Tuesday night.  Ohio State ran off 20 straight points when the game was tied at 12.

The Winona State men’s basketball team is no longer in first place in the NSIC standings after the NSIC and NCAA penalized the program for using an ineligible player during 19 games this season.

The New York Knicks dowed the Timberwolves 100-98 Saturday night.  Minnesota has dropped 3 straight games while New York has won 5 straight.  Kevin Love led the Wolves with 32 points and 21 rebounds and Nikola Pekovic added 21 points 13 rebounds...

The St. Cloud State men’s and women’s basketball team both won close games against Minnesota State-Mankato Friday night at Halenbeck Hall.

The 22nd ranked Wisconsin Badgers beat the Gopher men’s basketball team 68-61 in overtime Thursday night at Williams Arena in Minneapolis.  Minnesota came from down 13 points in the 2nd half to tie the game at 51 and had a chance to win the game at the end of regulation but shot attempts by Andre Hollins and Austin Hollins did not go in for the Gophers...

The Timberwolves lost 85-80 at Memphis Wednesday night to snap their 3-game winning streak.  J.J. Barea led the Wolves with 17 points and 6 assists, Derrick Williams added 13 points and 9 rebounds and Ricky Rubio chipped in 4 points, 1 assist and 7 rebounds in 28 minutes for Minnesota.

The Timberwolves beat Sacramento 86-84 Tuesday night at Target Center without their top scorer and rebounder, Kevin Love who is serving a 2-game suspension for stomping on the face of Houston forward Luis Scola.

The Gopher men’s basketball team won 69-61 at Nebraska Sunday afternoon to keep themselves alive for a NCAA tournament berth.

The Timberwolves lost their first 2 games of the season but got back to the 500 mark for the first time this season with a 100-91 win at home over Houston.  The Wolves were led by Kevin Love with 25 points and 18 rebounds, Luke Ridnour added 22 points and Ricky Rubio chipped in 13 points and 11 assists...

The Timberwolves lost 109-99 at home to Indiana Wednesday night.  Indiana outscored Minnesota 25-16 in the 2nd quarter and held on in the 2nd half.  Kevin Love led the Wolves with 21 points and 17 rebounds, Luke Ridnour added 16 points and Ricky Rubio contributed 10 points and 6 assists.

The Gopher men’s basketball team lost 63-59 at Iowa Wednesday night and were sweep in the season series by the Hawkeyes.  Minnesota led by 10 with 12  minutes left but were outscored 28-14 the rest of the way.
