The Timberwolves won 120-108 at Houston Monday night to improve to 10-11 on the season.  Michael Beasley led the Wolves with 34 points, Kevin Love added 29 points and Ricky Rubio chipped in 18 points, 11 assists and 8 rebounds.

The Timberwolves rallied from down 18 points to take a 4th quarter lead but lose 106-101 Sunday night at Target Center.  Kevin Love led the Wolves with 33 points and 9 rebounds and Michael Beasley added 18 points for Minnesota.

The Timberwolves won 105-90 at Dallas Wednesday night to improve to 2-0 against the defending NBA champs this season.  Kevin Love led the Wolves with 31 points and 10 rebounds, Ricky Rubio added 17 points and 12 assists and Wayne Ellington added 16 points for Minnesota.

The 10th ranked Michigan State Spartans routed the Gopher men’s basketball team 68-52 Wednesday night in East Lansing, Michigan.  Minnesota trailed by 10 at halftime and cut the lead to as close as 5 points in the 2nd half.

The Timberwolves lost at home to Houston 107-92 Monday night at Target Center.  Former Timberwolves executive and head coach Kevin McHale is now the head coach for the Rockets and made his return to Minnesota.

The Gopher men’s basketball team defeated Northwestern 75-52 at Williams Arena Sunday afternoon.  Minnesota jumped all over Northwestern early and led 41-24 at halftime.

The Timberwolves played from behind for much of the night before rallying in the 2nd half to beat Detroit 93-85 Wednesday night.

The Timberwolves won 99-86 Monday night at home against Sacramento.  Kevin Love led the Wolves with 33 points and 11 rebounds, Luke Ridnour added 25 points and 9 assists and Ricky Rubio added 9 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists.

Timberwolves forward Kevin Love was named one of 20 finalists for the 2012 U.S. Olympic men’s basketball team by USA Basketball.  The official 12-man U.S. Olympic team roster will be announced last this year.

The Gopher men’s basketball team earned their 2nd straight road win 80-66 at Penn State Sunday afternoon.  Joe Coleman led the Gophers with 23 points including making 13 of 14 from the free throw line.

The Gopher men’s basketball team won at #7 Indiana 77-74 Thursday night.  Minnesota led by 3 at halftime and held the lead throughout the 2nd half.

The Timberwolves lost 111-100 to the Chicago Bulls at Target Center Tuesday night.  Minnesota fell behind by 24 points in the first half but rallied to tie the game at 70 in the 3rd quarter.
