The Minnesota Wild beat Edmonton 3-2 in an overtime shootout on the road Wednesday night. Kyle Brodziak had a goal in regulation and one in the shootout to get the win.

The St. Cloud State men’s hockey team will play top ranked Minnesota in a home and home series Friday and Saturday nights. SCSU will host Friday night starting at 7:37pm, pregame on WJON at 7:00.
Well, there’s one things Canadians aren’t apologetic over and that’s their intense love of hockey. This passion led to riots on the streets of Vancouver Wednesday night when the beloved Canucks lost the Stanley Cup 4-0 to the Boston Bruins.
So much for home ice advantage.

Dierks sure loves him some hockey! His new single, "Am I the Only One," is being used in a new video marketing campaign for the NHL. Now, I sure do think Dierks is cute (and talented) but I will never understand his love of hockey. Why would anyone feel the need to make another person bloody over a little black piece of plastic? And I avoid ice as much as possible…unless it’s cooling an adult beverage.
Dierk's talks a lot about his hockey team, the Iceholes, but you may not realize how serious they are when they hit the ice. In fact, Dierks and bandmate "The Hawk" had to find a new way to resolve their differences in the rink -- they play hockey on X-Box.
