January 27, 2012 Keith Urban has fully recovered from his vocal cord surgery back in November. Now he has been talking and warming up those cords with various performances around Nashville. He took to his internet account to create a video for the fans to thank them for all their support during his recovery.
After spending three full weeks on vocal rest to recover from surgery to remove a polyp from his vocal cord, Keith Urban is back and ready to take the stage (and the mic) again. The ‘You’ll Think of Me’ singer will be performing live for the first time since his vocal absence on Feb. 3 at the Grand Ole Opry. In retrospect, he says 21 days of complete silence proved to be quite the challenge — both physically and emotionally — as he tried to recover and also not slip up and speak.

From the sound of it, Keith Urban will be better in no time following a successful throat surgery. The ‘Without You’ singer underwent the outpatient procedure to remove a polyp on his vocal chords earlier this week and thankfully, came out unscathed.
Keith Urban is about to go on “complete vocal lockdown” for three weeks after he has throat surgery, so he took two minutes to issue a video message, thanking fans their support, love, cards, messages and gift baskets. Urban is about to have a polyp surgically removed and is expected to make a full recovery.
The lyrics to the new Keith Urban single ‘You Gonna Fly’ were penned by hot country duo the LoCash Cowboys — Preston Brust and Chris Lucas — along with fellow singer-songwriter Jaren Johnston of southern rock band American Bang. When the uplifting tune landed in the hands of Urban, the three writers were thrilled at the opportunity to have a song recorded by the singing superstar.
