October 29, 2012 Last night turned out to be the final game of the World Series when the San Francisco Giants defeated the Detroit Tigers and took the title of World Series champs 2012. Unfortunately one sports reporter didn't have quite the luck the Giants did when he took a foul ball to the leg in between camera shots.
Marco Scutaro's line drive single scored Ryan Theriot with the go-ahead run in the top of the 10th inning, and the San Francisco Giants beat the Detroit Tigers, 4-3, on Sunday night in Detroit to complete a four-game sweep of the 2012 World Series.
October 26, 2012 The San Francisco Giants took a 2 games to none series lead with a 2-0 win over Detroit in Game 2 of the World Series Thursday night. Brandon Crawford grounded into a double play to score the first round in the 7th inning and Hunter Pence drove in a run with a sacrifice fly in the 8th inning for the Giants. Madison Bumgarner threw 7 shutout innings with 2 hits allowed to get the win. Doug Fister allowed 1 earned run in 6 innings to take the loss.
October 25, 2012 The San Francisco Giants defeated the Detroit Tigers in Game 1 of the World Series 8-3 Wednesday night. Pablo Sandoval was 4-4 with homeruns in his first 3 at bats and he finished with 4 RBIs and Marco Scutaro had 2 hits and 2 RBIs for the Giants. Barry Zito threw 5 2/3 innings with 1 earned run allowed to get the win and Justin Verlander allowed 6 hits and 5 earned runs in 4 innings to take the loss.
Allen Craig hit a solo home run to provide the go-ahead run, as the St. Louis Cardinals beat the Texas Rangers 6-2 in Game 7 to win the 2011 World Series four games to three in St. Louis on Friday night
This Morning, Nashville Kat sent us the video of American Idol winner Scotty McCreery singing the National anthem last night at Game 1 of the World Series. She says he messed it up.
