The Make-A-Wish Foundation grants wishes to children who are suffering from life-threatening illnesses. Over the last 30 years, over 4000 wishes have been granted right here in Minnesota. To make more dreams come true, Make-A-Wish MN needs your help.

On Saturday, August 4, you can help make a wish come true with the Stepping Up For Wishes event at Molitor's Quarry Grill and Bar in Sauk Rapids. The event runs from 7a-Noon and will feature a 5k/1k Walk/Run, Silent Auction, face painting, fire trucks, princesses, mini golf, water balloon games and an appearance by our St. Cloud Rox players for photos and autographs.

No matter how you help out, your donations stay here in Minnesota and will be used to help grant a wish from the hundreds of children that are terminally ill right here in our backyard.

I personally know families that have been granted wishes from Make-A-Wish. Just recently, a family I know went to Disney World. Their daughter is 18 and has cancer. It has progressed to the point that she is being kept medicated to help with the pain. Because of Make-A-Wish, she and her family were able to go to Disney World - a dream she had her whole life.

It's not just about the kid getting the chance to meet a hero or go to Disney. It's a chance for the family to see their child smile one more time before their life fades away. It's a chance for those that love these strong children to spend a magical day with their child before the inevitable happens.
