Taylor Swift Donates Money to Fund the Taylor Swift Education Center

Can it really be considered a donation if the money is going to fund your own project? Either way, the $4 million Taylor Swift just gave to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum is going to help fund the Taylor Swift Education Center.

The center wont open until 2014, but it will include an exhibit and classroom space. Visitors will be able to enjoy interactive activities such as a ‘wet’ classroom to make art projects like concert posters, and a musical petting zoo.

The $4 million dollar gift is the largest donation ever given to the museum by an artist. Museum director Kyle Young said Taylor definitely wants to be involved in the process of developing the center. Which I think is really cool, many celebrities can write a check for a few million dollars and feel like them have done enough. But Taylor actually cares enough to want to be involved, and that is why I’m a fan of Taylor Swift.
