About a month ago rumors were circulating about the A-listers that were auditioning for the part of Eponine in the upcoming film adaptation of 'Les Miserables'. Those rumors included names such as Scarlett Johansson and 'Glee's' Leah Michele, but the iconic part didn't go to either of them.

The rumors did include Taylor Swift's name, but to be honest, I didn't think she stood a chance next to Michele or Johansson. First of all the only acting Taylor has done is hold a small part in the movie 'Valentines Day' back in 2010 so her acting skills aren't exactly honed. And second of all, this is a musical, I want to hear talented original voices, not computer generated vocals.

Ok, now that I am done complaining that this role went to Taylor Swift, here is what's up with what sounds like will be one of the best movies of the year. The plan is to start shooting in March with a release date of December 7th 2012. Reportedly all cast members will be singing live on the film.

The star-studded cast includes Russell Crowe, Hugh Jackman, Amanda Seyfried, Anne Hathaway and Helena Bonham Carter, just to name a few. 'Les Miserables' is the world's longest running musical, dating back to 1985 where it first hit the stage in London.

I really hope Taylor Swift doesn't butcher this role, and I wish her the best of luck in it.

Up next for Taylor - she recently voiced the part of Audry for the upcoming animated flick 'The Lorax' in theaters March 2012. I think the animation thing is going to prove to be right up Taylor's alley... but clearly I have been wrong before.
