The Mosquitoes Are Hungry At Quarry Park

I spent part of the afternoon yesterday at Quarry Park. It's a beautiful place to hike, relax and enjoy nature. While I realize that mosquitoes are part of nature, I didn't enjoy them much yesterday.

Our dog, Neena, loved the walk along the trails, but when we got to the spot in this photo, even she tried to hide from the blood sucking little buggers. They were out in full force. I decided to head back to the car pretty quickly, vowing to be back soon, fully prepared. If you have any tried and true home remedies (as opposed to the kind with all the chemicals) to ward off mosquitoes, let me know!
