I don't mind shoveling snow but it's a total pain to have to constantly remove the snow from shovel itself.  Luckily, somebody came up with a great idea to solve that problem.

If it's a nicer day out I really don't mind shoveling snow.  Sure, it's hard work and not all that exciting but it's good exercise.  I try to avoid doing outdoor activities this time of year so I look at it like it's good to get outside, breathe in the fresh air and get a little workout going.

The only thing that makes this a chore is the fact that many times snow sticks to the shovel, so I feel like I'm constantly trying to shake that off.  It's not a huge deal but it is a bit of a time waster.  I think I'm in luck though because there's a genius out there who came up with the perfect solution.

Business Insider came up with a list of hacks for surviving winter and they address the snow sticking to the shovel problem.  Apparently you should spray the shovel with cooking spray and then the snow won't stick.  Makes perfect sense -- you spray your pans to keep things from sticking so it should work the same for this.

I love it and I'm going to give it a try next time I have to shovel, which I really hope won't be anytime soon!
