There has been a lot of talk about St. Cloud State University canceling homecoming recently, and from what I have heard no one is happy about it. What you might not know, is nothing is set in stone yet.

SCSU President Earl Potter explained they have many options to consider. They want to make sure to engage both students and alumni. One of the options is to create weekend activities throughout the school year in place of homecoming, but that is not the only option.

The main concern is the lack of attendance by alums, so they are trying to create activities that might be more appealing to both alums and students.

I have lived in St. Cloud the majority of my life and I feel like SCSU homecoming is a staple of the community. I would be sad to see it go, that's for sure. What are your thoughts?
