Today Is World Cancer Day

P. Hanson/TSM

Today is World Cancer Day, and according to the CDC, 7.6 million people will die from cancer this year. On October 22, 2002 I was diagnosed with stage-3 colon cancer; it’s been eleven and-a-half years now. Screening and early detection saves lives. Simple as that (so don’t put it off). Here’s a simple way to help raise awareness and money.

Chevrolet has a program called ‘Purple Roads‘ in support of the American Cancer Society. Chevrolet will donate $1 (up to $1 Million) to the American Cancer Society for every person who changes their facebook and/or Twitter profile pic to purple today.

And it couldn’t be easier to do. Just click HERE to access Chevy’s ‘Purple Your Profile’ page. I’ve changed mine, now it’s your turn.
