I cringed when I saw this picture this morning. It's WAY too soon for this much snow. And thank goodness it's not coming our way.

In my perfect world, it would snow on Christmas Eve. A light, beautiful, "It's A Wonderful Life" kind of snow. We would wake up on Christmas morning to a fresh blanket of white. And by January 1st, it would be gone.

The snow can stay in the hills and mountains for those who like to snowmobile or ski, but I'm pretty much done with shoveling by the end of December.

So for those who live in Deadwood and anywhere else that looks like this today. My heart goes out to you. But honestly? Better you than me.
