The Minnesota Twins (46-57) avoided a series sweep by the Chicago White Sox (51-54) with a 4-3 win this afternoon at Target Field. A late inning rally by the Twins pushed three runs across in the seventh, and despite Chicago loading the bases in the ninth, the Twins hung on for the win -- just the third in their last ten games.

The Twins open a three-game series against the Royals Tuesday night in Kansas City.
