Twins Leave Small Army On Basepaths In Loss At KC

The Twins fell to the Royals 4-1 at Kauffman Stadium. The win snapped an eleven game home losing streak for Kansas City.

The Twins jumped on Royals starter Jeremy Guthrie for a quick run in the first inning on a Josh Willingham RBI single, but the Royals scored three in the bottom of the opening inning and never looked back.  

Minnesota had plenty of chances to attempt a comeback but left fourteen runners on base.

Minnesota finishes their series with Kansas City Thursday at 7:10. Mike Pelfrey (3-6, 6.66 ERA) vs Wade Davis (3-5, 6.16).
