Twins Likely to Part Ways With Marquis; At Chicago Tuesday
The Twins are expected to designate for assignment starting pitcher Jason Marquis today. According to the Star Tribune citing a source within the organization, the team will intend to release Marquis. Marquis is 2-4 with a 8.47 ERA in 7 starts with the Twins this season. Right-hander Liam Hendriks is likely to be recalled from triple-A Rochester to take his spot in the rotation. Hendriks is 2-0 with a 1.93 ERA in 18 2/3 innings at triple-A.
