The Twins have cut ties with relievers Jose Mijares and Jim Hoey.  Mijares was not tendered a contract allowing the 27-year old lefthanded relief pitcher to become a free agent.  Mijares was 0-2 with a 4.59 ERA in 58 appearances for the Twins.  Jim Hoey was put on waivers by the Twins and claimed by the Toronto Blue Jays.  Hoey was 1-2 with a 5.47 ERA in 26 appearances for the Twins in 2011.

The Twins did tender contract offers to starting pitcher Francisco Liriano, relief pitcher Glen Perkins and infielder Alexi Casilla.
