The Royals blew out the Twins 12-6 Sunday at Target Field in a game marred by multiple rain delays. Kansas City has taken two of three games so far in the series.

Tommy Milone struggled in the wet conditions for the Twins, allowing seven runs on four hits and two walks in just 1.1 innings pitched.

Jeremy Guthrie did not seem to be affected by the weather as he lasted seven innings while allowing four runs on five hits while striking out seven.

Joe Mauer, Kennys Vargas and Oswaldo Arcia all homered for Minnesota in the loss.

The Twins fall to 55-67 with the loss and will take on the Royals again Monday at Target Field. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 with Trevor May making his home debut against Jason Vargas.
