The Minnesota Twins scored eight runs over the final three innings last night in Detroit, unfortunately they had spotted the Tigers a 11-1 lead, ending with a 12-9 loss to the Central Division leaders.

Sixty-six games into the season, the Twins find themselves in the thick of things, just 4 games out of first place in a tightly bunched divisional race. Detroit leads the pack followed by Kansas City (-1.5) and Cleveland (-3.5). The White Sox are at the bottom, just 4.5 games back.

The rubber game of the Twins/Tigers series is set for Noon (CT) today in Detroit. The Twins open a three-tae series in Boston tomorrow night.
