There are two new scams going around Facebook these days--so be aware!

1. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. No, you won't be getting a free iPhone 6 anytime soon. This scam is asking Facebook users to "like" their page, fill out a survey, and share their link with friends to get a shiny new phone. Some surveys want you to include a phone number. By doing that, you are actually subscribing to a very expensive text messaging "service" that will cost you big time.

2. The second scam involves a video titled "Girl killed by husband just because she kissed another man." Don't click on it. First of all, everything is fake, including the comments. And if you do click on it, you'll be taken to a third party website that looks like Facebook, but it isn't. Then, when you try to click on the video, you're told to share it with friends and install a plug in for the video to work. Once you click install--you download the virus.

The moral of the story: Don't believe everything you read on Facebook. Don't fill out surveys offering things for free. Don't share or "like" videos in order to view them.  Don't share every story you see without checking it out first (there's almost ALWAYS more to it) and don't be THAT guy. You know, everyone reads the posts you share and thinks " Wow, yeah, not so bright."  Entertaining, maybe. Just not so bright.
