The NFL has upheld Minnesota Viking's wide receiver Jerome Simpson's 3-game suspension for violating the league's substance abuse policy stemming from a November DWI arrest. It's Simpson's second suspension; the first resulting from a drug arrest in 2011. I think now's the time to cut him loose.

Sure I believe in third chances when warranted (not sure if this qualifies or not), but after watching RB Joe Banyard's performance in last night's 4th preseason game against the Titans -- and hearing talk of the Vikes only keeping four backs (Peterson, Felton, McKinnon, and Asiata) -- with the team questioning to keep 5 versus 6 receivers; I vote for five receivers and five backs, dropping Simpson and hanging onto Banyard.

You could also keep both, going with two quarterbacks. Sorry Christian. Just an option. (Although I'd still vote for keeping Ponder and unloading Simpson.)

Would this crap fly on your job? Not a hater, it's just business.

Skol! to my purple wearing' brothers & sisters.
